Budesonide is an adrenal glucocorticoid indicated for the treatment of Crohn disease, asthma, rhinitis and ulcerative colitis (1, 2, 3, 4).  The drug is marketed in the US under the trade name Emtpcprt EC®, Pulmicort®, Pulmicort Turbuhaler®, Rhinocort®, Rhinocort Aqua®, Pulmicort Flexhaler®, Pulmicort Respules® and Uceris® (2).
